BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — A 37-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man in Blytheville, authorities said.
According to the Blytheville Police Department (BPD), officers responded to a shots fired call Tuesday near S. Sarah Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of Bryan Johnson, who had been shot and killed.
Investigators quickly arrested Sarina Woods, 37, and charged her with first-degree murder. A second suspect, 18-year-old Zayona Williams, was also taken into custody and charged with tampering with physical evidence.
Both suspects were scheduled to appear before Judge Shannon Langston on Wednesday for arraignment.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing.
