BALLSTON SPA, NY — Maigan W. Richardson, a 36-year-old woman from Ballston Spa, was arrested on Sunday by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office after being detained by Ballston Spa Police on warrants from both the Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.

The arrest followed a suspicious person report at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Doubleday Avenue in Ballston Spa, where Richardson was reportedly found to be in possession of 360 milligrams or more of methadone and crack cocaine. A search incident to the arrest led to the discovery of the drugs.

Richardson was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

After being arraigned in Milton Town Court, she was released on her own recognizance pending further proceedings in Ballston Spa Village Court for the charges under its jurisdiction.

Richardson was also released on an appearance ticket for the seventh-degree charge from Corinth Town Court, awaiting proceedings in that court as well.

Upon her release, Richardson was turned over to State Police on their outstanding warrants.
