WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two New Hampshire women have been arrested and charged with shoplifting over $2,200 worth of merchandise from a DICK’S Sporting Goods store in West Springfield.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., when officers responded to a theft in progress at the 1081 Riverdale Street location. Witnesses reported that two suspects had filled a black trash bag with stolen goods and fled the store.
An undercover detective in the area saw the women running from the store with the overflowing bag and, along with patrol officers and store security personnel, stopped them behind a nearby building. The suspects initially provided false information but were later positively identified.
Upon searching the trash bag, authorities recovered $1,871.98 worth of stolen merchandise, cut security cables, ink pods, and a wire-cutting tool. Additionally, Sara Ann Frazier, one of the suspects, was found wearing three stolen clothing items underneath her jeans, valued at $375, bringing the total stolen goods to $2,246.98.
Frazier and her accomplice, Amanda Lyn Amer, both from Keene, New Hampshire, were taken into custody and face the following charges:

Both suspects remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
