Two days after four individuals were arrested for the murder of a sevadar at the Kalkaji temple, police apprehended five more suspects on Monday. The newly arrested have been identified as Sandeep Bidhuri, 33; Monu Kangar, 31; Rohit Bidhuri, 24; Anil Pandey, 46; and Babu, 40.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Friday when Yogendra Singh, 35, a sevadar at the temple, failed to offer ‘chunni prasad’ to the accused. This reportedly led to a violent confrontation in which the sevadar was beaten to death.
Police investigations are ongoing to determine the motive and whether additional accomplices were involved in the case.
