Salvador Rizo Pacheco Wanted in Kerman Wedding Homicide

Fresno County seeks public help to find suspect in deadly shooting

KERMAN, Calif. — Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives have identified Salvador Rizo Pacheco, 53, of Kerman, as the primary suspect in a homicide that occurred at a wedding on October 4. An arrest warrant has been issued for Pacheco, who is described as 5’8″ tall and weighing 265 pounds.

Deputies responded to a call around 10 p.m. at a home on South Congress Avenue near North Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 63-year-old Martin Tovar Zalazar with multiple injuries. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit conducted an investigation, gathering evidence that points to Pacheco as the suspect. Authorities confirmed that both the victim and suspect were known to each other.

Officials are asking the public for any information that may lead to the whereabouts of Salvador Rizo Pacheco. The investigation remains ongoing.
