The arrest was made near Vallam, Perumbavoor, by a special squad under the Perumbavoor Assistant Superintendent of Police, acting on a tip-off received by District Police Chief M. Hemalatha.

According to officials, the two suspects were intercepted while attempting to transport the illegal substance. The ganja, suspected to be part of a larger smuggling operation, was seized and has been sent for forensic testing.
