Police in Brajrajnagar have arrested three individuals and recovered stolen property worth lakhs in connection with two separate burglary cases.
The arrests were made after Padman Nayak of Adarsh Nagar lodged a complaint on February 4, reporting a break-in at his residence. Acting swiftly, the Orient police initiated an investigation and apprehended Sahil Suna of Bundia Colony, Laxman Khamari of Telenpali, and Harvinder Sahis of Binasipada, Rampur.
According to police officials, Sahil and Laxman were directly involved in the burglary, while Harvinder allegedly purchased the stolen items from them.
During the operation, police recovered gold and silver ornaments, a television set, and other valuables. The motorcycle used in committing the crime was also seized.
Interrogation of the accused led to the disclosure of another burglary carried out on January 29 at the residence of Atul Panda in Budhijam. Police subsequently recovered jewellery, electronic items, and additional stolen goods linked to that case as well.
Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Gundala Reddy Raghavendra addressed the media on Saturday, confirming that property stolen in both cases has been successfully recovered.
The press conference was also attended by Brajrajnagar SDPO Chintamani Pradhan and Orient police station IIC Kshama Sagar Nayak. Further investigation is underway.
