NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — 35-year-old Sagovia McKenzie has been arrested in Nashville for committing over 23 thefts from retail stores within the past 16 months.
McKenzie, a convicted thief, was apprehended by Metro Nashville Police (MNPD) detectives on South 6th Street. Upon her arrest, authorities discovered that she was in possession of marijuana and a magnet tool used to remove security tags from merchandise.
The 35-year-old had 31 outstanding warrants, with 23 specifically related to thefts at various stores across Davidson County. McKenzie allegedly targeted high-profile retailers including Lululemon, Burlington, Old Navy, Gap, and Sephora, with thefts dating back to January 2024.
McKenzie is currently being held on a $135,500 bond while facing multiple theft-related charges.
