Manimajra police have arrested a 29-year-old cab driver involved in multiple thefts in the area. The accused, Sagar Dhanda, a resident of Bank Colony, was apprehended near Gurukul Global School on Sunday.
The case came to light after resident Prakhar Soni reported his scooter stolen from the parking lot of Dhillon Cinema on March 28. Following the complaint, an e-FIR was registered at Manimajra Police Station.
During the investigation, the police recovered the stolen scooter and one gas cylinder from Dhanda. Further interrogation led to the recovery of two additional gas cylinders. Dhanda, who has a criminal record for similar offenses dating back to 2020, confessed to stealing multiple gas cylinders from the area.
On Monday, Dhanda was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
