In a major anti-drug operation, the Sonapur Police Station seized 20 kilograms of ganja and apprehended two alleged drug traffickers near the old market area of Sonapur.
The operation was carried out by a police team acting on a tip-off, under the supervision of Sonapur Police Station in-charge Manoj Baruah. During the operation, the police chased and detained Saddam Hussain (29) from Mangaldoi and Rafikul Islam (22) from Baligate, Sonapur.

The ganja was recovered during the operation, indicating involvement in drug trafficking. The arrested individuals are currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway to determine the extent of their network and potential accomplices.
