The JC Nagar Police have arrested Sachin Sonakar, a 24-year-old domestic help, for allegedly stealing gold and diamond valuables worth Rs35 lakh from his employer’s residence.
The accused hails from Newada village in Uttar Pradesh and had been working in the home of a Bengaluru-based businessman for the past five months. During this time, he reportedly gained the family’s trust while secretly planning the theft.
The employer discovered the missing valuables and filed a complaint, prompting an investigation. Based on clues and surveillance, police quickly zeroed in on Sachin, who was later arrested and found in possession of the stolen jewellery.
Authorities praised the swift action of the police team in recovering the valuables and detaining the suspect. Further investigation is underway to determine if he has a history of similar offenses or any accomplices.
