Delhi Police’s South West District have arrested Sachin, a 19‑year‑old from Amba village in Khargaon district, Madhya Pradesh, for his involvement in a high‑profile house burglary. The PS Sagarpur unit arrested him and recovered 186 grams of gold jewellery.
The case dates back to May 23, 2025, when Amit Gupta reported a burglary at his home in Sagarpur. About 500 grams of gold and Rs20,000 in cash were stolen after two men posing as lock repairmen gained entry. At that time, Amit and his wife were in the nearby market, leaving his mother alone, who let in the men under the pretense of assistance.
Under the supervision of the ACP, Delhi Cantt Sub‑Division and led by SHO PS Sagarpur, an investigative team including SI Kapil Yadav, PSI Mukesh, and Constables Anil, Rahul, and Lalit worked on the case. They used CCTV footage and transport routing data (including a route via Tilak Nagar) to trace and apprehend Sachin.
Police say Sachin is a habitual offender, previously named in four burglary cases. The investigation is ongoing, and one co‑accused, identified as Aasan from Bhagwanpura, Madhya Pradesh, remains at large.
