In a coordinated crackdown on the narcotics trade, Anantnag Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers, while Budgam Police attached property linked to a notorious repeat offender under the NDPS Act.
In Anantnag, a police team from Bijbehara intercepted a Hyundai Creta at a checkpoint in Zirpara. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 1.2 kilograms of a Charas-like substance along with Rs2.48 lakh in cash. The accused were identified as:
