Coimbatore Police arrested two men on Monday for allegedly breaking into a goldsmith shop at Samy Iyer Street and stealing 1.15 kg of gold, including finished ornaments.

The arrested individuals were identified as S. Murugan (45), a resident of Kanuvai, Coimbatore district, who had a previous burglary case at R.S. Puram police station, and T. Chinnadurai (32) of Thoothukudi, previously booked in three separate cases at Thoothukudi South and North stations.
