STARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — A coordinated traffic stop led to the arrest of three individuals suspected of transporting methamphetamine and fentanyl into the Knox area from the Chicago region.
Acting on a tip, law enforcement intercepted a vehicle on US-30 early Saturday morning, April 13. A K-9 unit was deployed to assist in the search, which uncovered:
Two ounces of suspected methamphetamine
More than four grams of suspected fentanyl
Various drug paraphernalia
The three occupants were immediately taken into custody.

Earl Beem, 43
Susan Risner, 29
Each of the suspects is facing multiple felony charges, including:
Dealing Methamphetamine
Possession of Methamphetamine
Dealing a Narcotic Drug
Possession of a Narcotic Drug
They were booked into the Starke County Jail on $20,000 cash bonds each.
