HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A Tabor City man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to multiple drug-related offenses and attempting to flee law enforcement.
On Monday, 41-year-old Ryan Davenport pleaded guilty to second offense possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, second offense possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, and failure to stop for blue lights.
The charges stem from an April 2024 incident when Horry County Police attempted a traffic stop on Davenport’s vehicle in the Loris area. According to the release, Davenport refused to pull over, leading to a brief pursuit.
When he finally stopped, Davenport reportedly became confrontational and tried to discard narcotics. Officers recovered over eight grams of fentanyl and more than 14 grams of crack cocaine at the scene. Authorities also noted that Davenport had prior narcotics convictions.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for each drug offense and received a one-year sentence—suspended to time served—for fleeing from law enforcement.
