ROSEBURG, Ore. – A Roseburg man has been arrested on multiple charges, including theft, forgery, and criminal possession of a forged instrument, following a burglary at a local real estate office.

Ryan Alexander Copenharve, 29, was taken into custody by Roseburg Police on the 200 block of NE Flagg Street, after investigators tied him to the theft of checks and blank money orders from G. Stiles Realty. The incident occurred between August 2 and August 3, 2025.

Surveillance footage from a Fred Meyer store showed Copenharve on the morning of August 3, signing and cashing one of the stolen money orders, valued at $1,000.

According to police, Copenharve admitted to entering the store, signing the money order in his name, and leaving with the cash. He claimed, however, that he was unaware the money order had been stolen.

Copenharve was transported to Douglas County Corrections and lodged without incident. He now faces formal charges as the investigation continues.
