Ryan Austin Stalls Gets 40+ Years for Violent Crimes

Beaufort County man sentenced for attempted murder

Beaufort County, N.C. — A Beaufort County man is facing more than 40 years behind bars after pleading guilty to multiple violent felonies in Superior Court on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Ryan Austin Stalls, 33, entered guilty pleas to several serious charges, including:

Two counts of First-Degree Attempted Murder (Felony) – 273 to 340 months

One count of First-Degree Kidnapping (Felony)

One count of Attempted First-Degree Forcible Sex Offense (Felony) – 127 to 213 months

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, the sentences for the attempted murder and sex offense charges will run consecutively, placing Stalls’ total imprisonment at well over 40 years in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Upon release, Stalls will be required to register as a sex offender for 30 years.
