KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the June 2025 break-in and theft at Leisure World Lanes in Kirksville, according to police.
Roy Robinson, 57, of Kirksville, was taken into custody Friday. Investigators say Robinson and Robert Mason, 49, forced their way into the East Illinois Street bowling alley and stole thousands of dollars in cash and change from several gaming machines.
Mason was arrested about a week after the burglary. Both men are charged with felony stealing, second-degree burglary, and first-degree property damage after reportedly causing thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to the machines.
Surveillance footage shows two men entering the bowling alley around 3 a.m. on June 9, 2025, remaining for about 30 minutes, then returning around 6 a.m. for another 20 minutes.
During a police interview, Robinson denied entering Leisure World but admitted to dropping Mason off nearby and picking him up later. However, investigators say cell phone GPS data placed Robinson near the scene during both timeframes.
