WILTON, NY (WRGB) — A 63-year-old Schenectady man has been arrested after allegedly stealing from a Walmart in Wilton where he had previously been banned.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an active larceny call at 8:18 a.m. on Friday at the Wilton Walmart. Deputies say they arrested Ross Corbett, who is accused of unlawfully entering the store and stealing merchandise.

Corbett has been charged with:

Burglary in the third degree (Class D felony)

Petit larceny (Class A misdemeanor)

According to authorities, Corbett had previously been advised by store management that he was not permitted on the premises. Despite this, he allegedly entered the store with the intent to commit a crime.

Following his arrest, Corbett was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled for further proceedings in Wilton Town Court, presided over by Judge David R. Towne.
