GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An 18-year-old woman, Rosemary Williams, has been charged in connection with the murder of Brandon Ramirez on Berner Street in Green Bay. Williams faces felony murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery charges for her role in the drug deal-related killing.
According to the criminal complaint, Williams allegedly helped arrange the drug deal that ultimately led to Ramirez’s death. The state’s Public Defender’s Office will need to assign her an attorney, and she is scheduled to return to court on May 28 for a balance of her initial appearance. Williams’ bond was set at $100,000 cash, which she has been unable to post.
Williams is the fifth individual to be charged in connection with the murder. Four others have been previously charged with various offenses, including first-degree intentional homicide and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. The court dates for these suspects are as follows:
Dion Richardson will have a plea hearing on May 6.
Elijah White’s status conference is set for May 13.
Darian Pinchart has a plea hearing on May 23.
Nigel White will have a status conference on June 9.
Richardson, one of the co-defendants, reportedly told police he had arranged to buy a half-pound of marijuana from Ramirez for $430. However, a woman who was driving the vehicle during the incident gave a different account. She stated that another individual entered the car while on Berner Street, and it was during this interaction that Ramirez was shot in the head. An autopsy confirmed that Ramirez died from a gunshot wound.
This tragic incident highlights the deadly consequences of illegal drug transactions and the involvement of multiple individuals in the crime. The investigation is ongoing as the remaining suspects face their court dates.
