Roscoe Gilmore Jr., 63, of Waterville, Ohio, was arrested and charged with murder and strangulation in the death of 53-year-old Kimberly Moore at a local nursing home.
Court documents reveal that Gilmore allegedly used a towel to strangle Moore to death at a nursing home on Anthony Wayne Trail, where both lived. The coroner ruled the death a homicide caused by strangulation.
Heritage of Waterville, the facility where the incident occurred, stated staff discovered Moore’s body and are cooperating with law enforcement to investigate the case. The nursing home emphasized the safety and well-being of its residents and expressed sorrow over the tragic event.
Gilmore appeared in court Wednesday morning, where a judge set a $1.5 million bond. He is scheduled to return to court on October 2.
