PALMYRA, N.Y. – A Marion woman is facing multiple charges, including felony driving while intoxicated, following a traffic stop investigation that began in May.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Rosalinda Cruz was arrested Thursday after lab results confirmed she was intoxicated during a May 26 incident. Deputies say Cruz was driving northbound in the southbound lane of State Route 21 and nearly hit a sheriff’s patrol vehicle.

After the stop, Cruz submitted to a blood test that later revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.22%—nearly three times the legal limit.

She now faces a range of charges, including:

Felony DWI (with prior conviction)

Aggravated DWI (BAC over 0.18%)

Aggravated Unlicensed Operation – First Degree

Failure to Use a Designated Lane

Moving from Lane Unsafely

Failure to Keep Right

Operating Without an Interlock Device

Cruz was transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date.
