Rosalind Horton Sentenced for Meth Trafficking

Quinlan woman gets two years in federal prison

SHERMAN, Texas — A Quinlan woman has been sentenced to federal prison for her role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation in the Eastern District of Texas, federal prosecutors announced.

Rosalind Horton, 34, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. On December 1, U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant sentenced Horton to two years in federal prison.

According to evidence presented in court, Horton participated in a drug trafficking conspiracy beginning in 2020. Prosecutors said she worked with others to distribute and possess 500 grams or more of methamphetamine throughout the Eastern District of Texas.

The investigation was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Rattan.
