SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A routine traffic stop in Scottsville led to the arrest of two Tennessee residents on drug and child endangerment charges, authorities said.
On Tuesday, the Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Franklin Road at the intersection of New Buck Creek Road. The vehicle was occupied by Ronnie Wilmoth, 28, and Taylor Pippin, 28, both of Lebanon, Tennessee, along with a child.
K9 Alert Leads to Drug Discovery
During the stop, K9 Morgan was deployed for an open-air sniff and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, multiple prescription pills, and a handgun, according to officials.
Charges and Arrests
Both Wilmoth and Pippin were taken into custody and booked at the Allen County Detention Center.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Possession of Marijuana

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (> or = 2g Methamphetamine)

Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Hydrocodone)
Endangering the Welfare of a Minor
The case remains under investigation.
