Ronnie Bryant Arrested in DC Robbery, Linked to Burglaries

61-year-old faces multiple theft and burglary charges

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has arrested a 61-year-old man in connection with a June robbery and several related burglary and theft incidents across the city.

Ronnie Bryant was taken into custody on August 23 after police executed an arrest warrant for a robbery that occurred on June 12 in the 900 block of Massachusetts Ave. NW. At around 9:35 p.m., Bryant allegedly approached a victim and snatched their belongings before fleeing the scene.

Following his arrest, detectives connected Bryant to multiple other cases:

Burglary One: May 15 – 2400 block of Virginia Ave. NW

Theft Two: June 5 – 1200 block of 22nd St. NW

Burglary Two of an Establishment: June 12 – 500 block of 23rd St. NW

Burglary Two of an Establishment: June 25 – 500 block of 23rd St. NW

Burglary Two of an Establishment: August 18 – 1200 block of 5th St. NE

Theft Two & Unlawful Entry: August 23 – 800 block of Mt. Vernon Place NW

Bryant is now facing multiple charges, including robbery (snatch), burglary, and theft. MPD says the investigation is ongoing and encourages anyone with further information to come forward.
