ROME, GA — Two Rome residents were arrested this week after police say they stole a car from a local home and were later found with illegal drugs.
According to authorities, Anthony Michael Moss Jr., 44, and Destiney Jene Mangel, 29, were taken into custody after allegedly stealing a 2014 Fiat 500L valued at $4,000 from a home on June Street on April 24.
While arresting Moss, police say they discovered him in possession of methamphetamine, as well as Alprazolam and Oxycodone, which are controlled substances under Schedules II and IV.

The suspects were booked into the Floyd County Jail, and both face felony charges in connection to the theft. No bond information has been released at this time.
