Chatra, Sept 29: Police in Chatra district launched a major crackdown on drug trafficking on Friday, arresting Rohit Kumar Dangi, a young man from Harli village, Barkagaon police station area in Hazaribagh district.
Following a tip-off received by SP Sumit Kumar Agarwal, a special team from Pathalgada police station, led by Simaria SDPO Shubham Khandelwal, conducted a raid in the Lembaiya Talab area. Rohit was found in possession of 12 grams of illegal brown sugar, along with a motorcycle and a mobile phone.
SDPO Khandelwal confirmed the arrest and recovery of contraband. The accused has been sent to jail as police continue their efforts against narcotics in the region.
