In a significant crackdown under the Delhi Police’s ongoing Panther-Claw operation, a 30-year-old man named Rohit Goel, also known as Kaali, was arrested in Vijay Vihar, Rohini.
Goel was allegedly operating as a bookie for an online cricket betting racket during the recent Bangladesh vs Afghanistan cricket match. Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement raided the location and seized key digital evidence, including five mobile phones, a laptop, and an LED television.
Authorities believe the devices were used to manage and facilitate illegal betting activities in real time. The arrest is part of Delhi Police’s efforts to clamp down on online gambling networks operating during major international sports events.
