Juni Indore police arrested Rohit, who had been on the run after allegedly killing his cousin, Durgesh Panwar. The accused was produced before the court on Monday.
According to Juni Indore police, the tragic incident occurred recently near Saifi Nagar. Durgesh Panwar, 21, originally from Khargone, was employed at a furniture shop in Indore. The conflict began when Durgesh planned to attend a birthday party, which triggered an argument with his cousin Rohit. The disagreement escalated after Durgesh reportedly hurled abuses at Rohit.
In a fit of anger, Rohit called his friends, who then attacked Durgesh, stabbing him to death. After the assault, Rohit fled the area.
“The police conducted an intensive search for Rohit and, acting on a tip-off, arrested him from the Juni Indore area,” said Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya. Earlier, four accomplices involved in the attack were also apprehended.
