Two youths, Rohan Singh Pawar and Ajgar Ali, were arrested by the Biswanath police on the night of August 7 for allegedly running a fake online gaming racket that scammed victims of crores of rupees.

Police said the duo created fake accounts linked to online games and deceived users into transferring money under false promises of rewards or winnings. Multiple people across various locations reportedly fell victim to the scam.

Following days of intensive interrogation, both accused were presented in district court on Tuesday under case number 420/25 and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

Investigations into the broader network are underway, as authorities suspect more individuals may be involved in the operation. Meanwhile, local social organizations have demanded strict action against those responsible for such cyber frauds that target the youth.
