The West District unit of Delhi Police has apprehended a 19-year-old man, Rohan alias Khanka, in connection with a burglary at the Protsaahan India Foundation NGO office located in the Janak Cinema Complex, Janakpuri.
The burglary, which occurred on May 13, 2025, involved the theft of several electronic devices including three mobile phones, twelve tablets, and a laptop charger. The complainant reported finding a broken sliding window and missing items upon arriving at the office that morning.
Acting swiftly, a special police team led by SHO K.K. Tiwari under the guidance of ACP Neeraj Tokas began a detailed investigation. The team, including officers HC Sandeep, HC Ramkishan, HC Ankit, W/HC Vandana, and Ct. Samarjeet, analyzed CCTV footage and deployed technical surveillance tools.
One stolen mobile phone was traced to Mahavir Enclave, where police conducted a raid and arrested Rohan. Further searches at his residence led to the recovery of 11 out of the 12 stolen tablets.
Efforts to locate the remaining stolen mobile phones and laptop charger are ongoing. Rohan is currently in police custody and being interrogated for possible involvement in similar crimes.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, West District, Vichitra Veer, IPS, praised the team for their swift and coordinated efforts in making the arrest.
The case remains under investigation.
