Baltimore County, MD — Rodney Ward, owner of Loving Care Pet in Catonsville, has been arrested and faces 56 charges in connection with an alleged pet cremation scam.
Authorities accuse Ward of charging pet owners for cremating their animals but instead providing sand or concrete and dumping the animals’ remains along local roads.
During the investigation, police discovered dozens of pets stored inside a hearse on Ward’s property.
Rodney Ward’s wife, Yalanda Ward, is also facing the same charges related to the scam.
The case remains under investigation as authorities work to identify and notify affected pet owners.
