SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities have arrested Roderick Hillman, 22, in connection to a 2022 Sanford shooting, as well as violent home invasions and armed robberies in Georgia.

According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, deputies encountered Hillman at the Seminole County Jail on March 12 and discovered he had an active warrant for attempted first-degree premeditated murder. The charge stems from a September 30, 2022, shooting at Seminole Gardens Apartments, where one person was injured during an altercation.

Authorities also linked Hillman to home invasions and armed robberies that occurred in June 2022 in Coffee and Atkinson counties, Georgia, as reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Hillman was already in custody in Seminole County due to an out-of-state arrest, though officials have not disclosed further details. It remains unclear whether his Georgia charges have been resolved.

Currently, Hillman is being held without bond as he awaits trial for attempted first-degree premeditated murder.
