Rochester Man Travis Hightower Arrested for Threatening Store Employee

Travis Hightower charged with robbery and menacing after Thanksgiving incident

GATES, N.Y. — Travis Hightower, a 48-year-old Rochester man, was arrested on Thanksgiving morning after allegedly threatening a store employee with a knife at a dollar store on Spencerport Road in Gates.

According to police, officers were called to the store just before 10:00 a.m. in response to a report of a shoplifter leaving the scene. Shortly after the call, officers located Hightower and placed him under arrest.

He is facing several charges, including robbery and menacing. Investigators noted that Hightower has a convicted felon status and an extensive criminal record. As of now, he is being held in jail without bail as the investigation continues.
