TOLEDO, OH (WTVG) — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a June homicide in Toledo that claimed the life of a teenager.
Robert Dorr Jr., 24, and Gage Bearden, 19, were taken into custody on September 3 for their alleged roles in the murder of 17-year-old Darius Washington, who was fatally shot during a reported robbery-turned-homicide on Dixon Avenue.
The original shooting incident occurred in June, and police now allege that both Dorr and Bearden were involved in the events that led to Washington’s death. The nature of their relationship to the victim has not been publicly disclosed.
In a disturbing development, court records show that Bearden is also facing separate sexual assault charges stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred on August 2. According to police, Bearden is accused of gross sexual imposition after allegedly sexually assaulting a sleeping victim, using digital evidence and witness statements to support the charges.
The investigation into both the murder and the sexual assault is ongoing. Authorities have not yet released full details about potential motives or further connections between the suspects and the victim.
This remains a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
