GLASGOW, Ky. — A 62-year-old woman was arrested following a traffic stop on Myrtle Street on Tuesday, April 8, when police discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a vehicle search.
Glasgow police officer Micah Janes initiated the stop after noticing the vehicle’s rear license plate wasn’t illuminated. After receiving consent to search the vehicle from the driver, Rita G. Webb of Glasgow, officers found a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside her purse.
Webb was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree, second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle with a rear license plate not illuminated.
Webb was booked into the Barren County Detention Center with a $2,500 cash bond and an initial court date scheduled for April 17. As of Wednesday afternoon, she remained in custody.
