San Jose, CA – A Richmond man has been arrested for attempting to traffic a minor for commercial sex, San Jose police confirmed on Tuesday.
According to a press release from the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), the department’s Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) launched an investigation in November 2024 after an adult male suspect attempted to arrange a meeting with a juvenile female for prostitution.
The suspect, 22-year-old Kendrick Robinson, allegedly engaged in online and phone communications to coordinate the commercial sex act. Detectives gathered enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant for Robinson.
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, Robinson traveled from Richmond to San Jose with the intention of exploiting the juvenile victim. SJPD’s Special Operations M.E.R.G.E. Unit assisted in his arrest.
Robinson has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail and is facing charges related to commercial sex trafficking of a minor.
Authorities urge anyone with additional information about human trafficking cases to contact the San Jose Police Department’s Human Trafficking Task Force.
