CLEARFIELD — Richard Harris IV, 29, of Clearfield, has been arrested by the Clearfield Regional Police Department on charges including robbery and terroristic threats after he entered the Sheetz store in Clearfield Borough and brandished a firearm, demanding cash from the register.
Harris was taken into custody Sunday afternoon around 1 p.m. along Flegal Road in Lawrence Township under an active arrest warrant. During police questioning, Harris admitted to committing the robbery.
A search of his residence led to the recovery of the stolen cash, the clothing and mask used during the incident, an AK-47 assault rifle, and a significant quantity of ammunition.
Due to the severity of the charges, Harris was arraigned and denied bail. The investigation remains ongoing.
