HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KATV) — The Hot Springs Police Department is investigating a late-night shooting that left one man injured on Saturday, September 14.
At approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Rocky Reef Circle.
Shortly after the call, dispatch notified officers that a man had arrived at CHI St. Vincent Emergency Room with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his side. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Richard Easley.
Easley informed police that he had been shot in the Rocky Reef Circle area, which matched the original location officers were dispatched to.
Authorities attempted to speak with residents in the area to gather more information about the incident, but their efforts were hindered as residents were uncooperative.
The case has been turned over to the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is actively working the case. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
