COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A large quantity of drugs, cash, and a firearm were seized following an ongoing narcotics investigation in downtown Colorado Springs.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the Metro Narcotics Unit began investigating suspected drug activity at an apartment on North Spruce Street. Surveillance revealed multiple drug transactions and helped identify the specific unit involved.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a suspected buyer, during which a narcotics K9 alerted officers to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. Based on that evidence, CSPD obtained and executed a search warrant for the apartment.
Inside the apartment, officers discovered 645 grams of powder cocaine and over $28,000 in cash. Two individuals, 22-year-old Haleigh Micci and 29-year-old Ricardo Burch, were interviewed and released pending further investigation.
Further developments led police to another residence linked to Burch on East Platte Avenue. A second search warrant was executed at that location, where authorities recovered additional drugs, more cash, and a Mac 11 firearm with a loaded extended magazine.
The investigation remains active as authorities continue to build their case.
