The Regina Police Service (RPS) has arrested Reshaun Cote, a 22-year-old wanted for second-degree murder in a homicide case from May 2024.
At around 1:50 p.m. on May 12, 2024, police were called to a residence on Sherwood Drive after receiving reports of a weapons-related incident. Upon arrival, officers found a man, later identified as 22-year-old Everett Wolfe Roberts-Orr, lying in a driveway with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Roberts-Orr later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
After months of investigation, Cote was arrested on January 7, 2025, in relation to the killing. He is now facing charges of second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in Regina provincial court on January 9, 2025.
Cote had been placed on Canada’s national BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Top 25 Most Wanted list in December 2024, ranking at number nine. He is the third individual to be charged in connection with the May 2024 murder. Earlier, two other suspects, 24-year-old Isaiah James Dustyhorn and a 17-year-old youth, were arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Regina Police also highlighted that Cote is not the only suspect with local connections on the BOLO list. “Juma” Daniel Drie Atem, wanted for first-degree murder, is still at large. Atem is linked to the July 29, 2023, killing of 32-year-old Roman Miller, who was shot and killed outside a business on Broad Street in downtown Regina. A reward of $50,000 is being offered for information leading to Atem’s arrest.
