A shocking case of familial deception and theft has come to light in Bahraich district, involving a 70-year-old man, his daughter-in-law, and her teenage son in the theft of jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh from his own daughter’s residence. Police said the accused allegedly drugged the victim before executing the robbery.

The incident took place in the Dargah Sharif area, where Ravindra Khetan, along with Shivani Khetan and her son, reportedly carried out the theft at Soni Bansal’s home. Bansal’s husband, Manoj Tulsiyan, described returning home to find his wife unconscious.

A case was registered on November 22, and police made a breakthrough by apprehending Shivani Khetan near Gullabeer Temple, recovering the stolen jewellery. However, Ravindra Khetan and the minor remain at large, and efforts to track them down are ongoing.

Authorities have urged the public to share any information that could help locate the absconding duo and ensure the stolen property is recovered.
