In a significant breakthrough, the Dahod Police have arrested Paras Gunaji, a 46-year-old jeweller from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly purchasing stolen and robbed jewellery from criminals in Dahod. Gunaji, who previously resided in Limdi, Dahod district, had relocated to Ratlam and adopted the alias “Paresh” to evade detection.

The Local Crime Branch (LCB) in Dahod had been investigating Gunaji for an extended period. Utilizing a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence, authorities traced him to Ratlam and brought him to Dahod for further interrogation.
Gunaji is implicated in a total of 54 criminal cases, including 37 in Gujarat—11 of which are in Dahod district—and 9 in Rajasthan. His arrest is expected to aid in the recovery of additional stolen items and provide insights into a broader network of thieves operating across state lines.
