BISMARCK, N.D. — Police arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a Bismarck gas station to steal beer early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a report at a gas station on East Divide Avenue just before 2:00 a.m. A store employee said someone had smashed the glass door and entered the building. Surveillance video showed a man throwing a rock through the door, crawling inside, and leaving with a case of Budweiser and a six-pack of Bud Light.
About six hours later, the suspect, identified as Rathy Roman, contacted police and asked to be arrested. When officers arrived, he was reportedly drinking a Budweiser. Roman admitted he stole the beer because he had no money.
Roman is scheduled to appear in court facing a felony burglary charge.
