A brutal murder occurred late Tuesday night in Jamuguri village under Jamuguri Police Station limits.
Madhab Das was fatally attacked with a sharp weapon by a youth named Ratan Das. Madhab was returning home after shopping when he was suddenly struck from behind. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, Madhab died on the way.
Police swiftly arrested Ratan Das in connection with the murder. Investigation is ongoing.
