Cincinnati police have arrested 25-year-old Rasu Amir Salaam in connection with the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Limber Gomez Rivera. Salaam was apprehended on Thursday with help from the Cincinnati Police SWAT team.
The incident occurred on Saturday, just before 8 p.m., in the 200 block of Crestline Avenue in Mt. Echo Park. According to court documents, Rivera was driving in the park when he crashed into Salaam’s vehicle. After the crash, Rivera attempted to drive away but was pursued by Salaam, who shot him in another area of the park.
Rivera was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he underwent surgery but ultimately died from his injuries on Sunday, December 29.
Salaam has been charged with murder and is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
