In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Panbazar Police arrested Rashida Khatun, 26, from Railway Gate No. 3 in Guwahati. The police seized 20 vials of heroin weighing 26.57 grams from her possession.
Meanwhile, a team from Bhagaduttapur OP of Dispur Police Station apprehended two drug peddlers, Bikash Kalita of Vivekananda Path and Longbi Tokbi of Jirikinding, near Ganesh Mandir turning. The police recovered eight vials of heroin weighing 10.96 grams, along with an empty vial and a motorcycle (AS01EY4966).
Additionally, Dispur police arrested 20-year-old Buddhiman Das of Beharbari, found carrying eight vials of heroin weighing 11 grams and a syringe.
These coordinated operations highlight the police’s continued efforts to combat drug trafficking in Guwahati.
