RALEIGH — Authorities recently arrested two men in Raleigh after seizing nearly 11 pounds of marijuana, cash, and multiple firearms during a drug investigation.
The investigation began in March when an anonymous tip was received about drug sales in the parking lot of an apartment complex located on Ballington Circle in Raleigh. After conducting weeks of surveillance, Raleigh police arrested Chazmonte Brown and Javaughn Washington on several drug-related charges.
Washington is currently being held in the Wake County Jail under a $100,000 bond, while Brown was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
The seizure of drugs and firearms marks another significant step in Raleigh police’s efforts to curb illegal drug activity in the community.
