Rajkumar Arrested in Panchkula for Drug Trafficking

2,600 Alprazolam tablets seized from Eco Van

A Crime Branch team from Sector 26, Panchkula, led by Sub-Inspector Mandeep Singh, successfully apprehended a man involved in trafficking banned narcotic drugs. The accused has been identified as Rajkumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh currently staying as a tenant in Jhuggi Dhakoli, Punjab.

Police received a tip-off from confidential sources that Rajkumar was selling narcotic pills and would be present near Apple Market in Sector 20, distributing drugs from his Eco Van. Acting on this intelligence, the Crime Branch team, under ASI Mukesh, set up a raid and arrested him at the designated location.

Upon searching the vehicle, authorities recovered 2,600 Alprazolam tablets stored in a bag. The accused failed to provide any valid license or documentation for the drugs. A case has been registered against him under Section 22(c) of the NDPS Act at the Sector 20 Police Station.

Police have confirmed that further investigations are underway to determine the full scope of Rajkumar’s narcotics network in Panchkula and neighboring areas.
